Dr Kofi Amoah-Abban, board member of Asante Kotoko, on his official twitter handle has urged the sack of Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum following the coach’s threats of resignation and sudden capricious gestures in a meeting with the technical sub committee of the board and some members from the management on last Thursday.

“Asante Kotoko is under the Stewardship of a great Management Team led by Nana Yaw Amponsah. The success on and off the pitch last season is testament to this fact.THE COACH SHOULD BE FIRED. No one is bigger than the Club. Asante Kotoko remains Supreme” The board member stated unequivocally on his twitter page.

Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum was reportedly informed his decision not to continue as a coach of Asante Kotoko in a meeting involved technical committee members from the board and management members held on last Thursday to deliberate and plan about the way forward of the club towards the upcoming Africa campaign and domestic competitions after the coach had submitted his technical report.

Though, an official communique from the board on Saturday has debunked the speculations regarding the coach’s verbal resignation during the meeting. Another crunch meeting entailing the entire board, management members and the coach is expected to come on Monday to ascertain the coach’s decision and the take of management to ensure the best interest of the club into the upcoming season.
