After three years of being loyalist and dedicated to the success of Asante Kotoko, Mudasiru Salifu is almost at the end of spell with the Fabulous fraternity. The contentious midfielder is currently at the camp of FC Sheriff of Moldova for almost two weeks now, hoping to land a deal with the Moldovan club after a successful assessment of his qualities.
The combative midfielder is looking forward for a new challenge after gotten endeared so much by the majority of Kotoko fanatics with his shrewdness and ability to always control and subdue the opponent midfield. The former Berekum Chelsea player joined Kotoko in July 2019 from Tanda FC in Cote D’Ivoire under the tutelage of Kjetil Zacchariassen.
Asante Kotoko has therefore begun approaches to get a befitting replacement should everything makes headway for Mudasiru and the Moldovan club after the trials. The management and technical team in collaboration, have started talks with the targeted players to fill and reinforce the void in the midfield before the pre season begins.
The scouting team are hopeful to unearthed talents, tried and tested qualities and players with the exposure for the Africa competition in and beyond the country. Good efforts have put up to ensure quality replacement for every departure and negotiations are at the cutting edge with the interested players in and beyond Ghana, foreign additions are possible to augment the squad.
The Asante Kotoko management are only awaiting their imminent meeting with the board for approval to start announcing the “anticipated signings” for the porcupine warriors into the next season.
