The two goalkeepers at the twilight and end of their respective contracts with Asante Kotoko have confirmed their extension with the club into the new season. The management of Asante Kotoko in conclusion with both players have agreed to extend the stretch till the end of the upcoming season.
Danlad Ibrahim who’s left with 6 months to end of his contract after joining the club in the 2016/17 season as a minnow has agreed to stay with Asante Kotoko till the end of the next season whereas Kwame Baah following the end of his three years stint in last June has also agreed for a lengthening of another one season.
Asante Kotoko having signed Frederick Asare for three years from Accra Lions already will likely end the pursuit for another goalkeeper after finalizing the extension for Danlad Ibrahim and Kwame Baah to complete the goalkeeping slot.
Abdul Rafik Yakubu, another teenage keeper who joined Asante Kotoko from Wa Suntaa at the beginning of last season have been plagued by injuries and is expected to join the team after a successful knee surgery about two months ago.
