Giants Asante Kotoko looks set to stay top of the Ghana Premier League table after matchday 3 following a 1-0 win over Bibiani Gold Stars on Friday afternoon.

The team from Kumasi last season had a good run but a deciding fixture against Hearts of Oak in the second round where they lost saw the team missing out on success.

With a number of reinforcements made for the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League season, Asante Kotoko under new head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has started the campaign on a bright note.

Following impressive wins against Dreams FC and Bechem United on matchday 1 and 2 respectively, the Porcupine Warriors today played as visitors to Bibiani Gold Stars.

In a game played at the Dun’s Park, Asante Kotoko faced a tough challenge but came out on top to win 1-0 through a strike from talented forward Isaac Oppong in the 55th minute.

Courtesy of today’s win, Asante Kotoko are now on 9 points and gets to stay top of the Ghana Premier League table.
