The former Accra Lions expeditious goalkeeper has agreed and completed a three-year deal to join Asante Kotoko begining from the upcoming season until August 2025. He’s switching to Asante Kotoko as a free agent following his expired contract with the Accra based club after the just ended season.
The accession of the young goalie is expected to augment the goalkeeping vacuum of the club after the contract expiration of Kwame Baah and injury uncertainties of teenager, Abdul Rafik Yakubu, whiles the future of Danlad Ibrahim is still undecided with six (6) months left to his contract.
Frederick Asare is seen as a justified option who has gone through the ranks of the various national teams; has been with Satellites and still being part of both Black Meteors and Black Galaxies team. His quick responsiveness and adroit to carry on the goal post are the expectant of him as Asante Kotoko aimed at impactful contentions into the new season.
The 23 years old goalkeeper is expected to begin full training with the Porcupine Warriors as the team is scheduled to resume for preseason in the coming days at AJ Training grounds before the supposed trip to Turkey to upsurge their preparation into the impending season.
