Four Asante Kotoko reps leaving with the Black Galaxies for preparation in Egypt ahead of the CHAN tournament
The locally based national team known as the Black Galaxies are leaving for Egypt on Saturday, December 24 to continue preparation ahead of the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) expected to be hosted by Algeria next year.
The contingent to the North African country includes four (4) Asante Kotoko representatives; Goalkeepers trainer, Issah Najahu who also pose same role for the Galaxies. Danlad Ibrahim as the first choice goalie for the team is also part of the traveling squad just after his return from the World Cup about a fortnight ago with the Black Stars.
Young prodigies, Augustine Agyapong who has had phenomenal career at the right back and Sheriff Mohammed following his marvellous first season at the heart of defense in the premier league for Asante Kotoko also earned the nod to be part of the team.
The team would have a series of trial matches to ensure enough preparations whiles in Egypt before the tournament begin on Friday, January 13 in Algeria.
Ghana are house in group C alongside defending champions, Morocco, Sudan and Madagascar for the tournament only methodize for players plying their careers in the African continent.
