As part of the trophy tour in the capital, the current league champions paid a courtesy call to the resident of former president of Ghana, John Agyekum Kuffour at his peduase lodge to demonstrate their conquered trophy and also had his words of gratification for winning the Ghana league.
Asante Kotoko ultimately made a stop over at the noble house of ex president Kuffour after their itinarery to visit the headquarters of their numerous sponsors to show appreciation for their immense support and motivation that inspired their quest to win the league title.
The league champions had a nicest reception at the resident of the former president with congratulatory words to the management members, technical team and playing body mingled with compliments to the youthful exuberance of the Kotoko’s CEO to lead such a great club to a league victory.
“The Porcupine Warriors. You conquered both home and abroad. This is what happened this year and we can’t congratulate you enough. Coaches, handlers, supporters and of course the star players and this achievement also happened under the dynamic youthful chairman (Nana Yaw Amponsah)” the former president excitedly uttered. “The Kotoko spirit always runs in my blood, I’m always a Kotoko supporter” the former first gentleman of the land gladly added.
Ex President, JA Kuffour who has served Asante Kotoko as a chairman in the 80s recounted his regime in an exaltation manner and donated outrageous GH50, 000.00 to the team for winning the Ghana premier league.
