The out of favoured Asante Kotoko midfielder who has not been sighted among the squad for the preseason currently ongoing in Accra is reportedly has had an agreement to join the newly promoted premier league side for the upcoming season. Samartex FC after achieving an impressive slot into the premier league aimed at the possible inclusion of the experienced midfielder to boost their prowess for survival in the Ghanaian topflight.
Emmanuel Keyekeh, being plagued by injuries and inconsistency in his two seasons with Asante Kotoko is reportedly leaving on a free transfer with a year remaining in his contract to join the timber boys considerably for enough playing time.
The combative midfielder joined Asante Kotoko for three (3) years in December 2020 through the recommendation of ex coach, Maxwell Konadu following his stirring run with Anyinase based Karela United but sudden injuries thwarted the expectations amidst inconsistent playing time in his first season. He subsequently lost the pecking order in last season when the contest for the midfield position toughened following the arrival of new additions including Sheriff Mohammed and Richard Boadu.
