Berekum Chelsea looking to get their ex captain on loan from Asante Kotoko.

 

The Bono’s pride are moving ahead with their plans to secure the signing of Stephen Amankona on an initial loan deal, according to credible reports. The bibires are readying a deal that would see their one time favourite talisman arrive at the Golden City when the transfer window reopens on January 13.

 

Per Kotoko Focus TV reports, Chelsea has already expressed their interest in the 22-years-old exciting attacker and Asante Kotoko are ostensible ready to offer the player on a loan deal. In addition, the reports says agreement could see the player who’s already stumbling for his good form with the league champions join his former club till the end of the season 2022/23 season.

 

Stephen Amankona, who was acquired from the Berekum based outfit in a fired up with a reported fee around ¢150,000 by Asante Kotoko has met a challenging pursuit since he joined at the outset of the 2021/22 season. Expectations hasn’t met, having lost the pecking order since Seydou Zerbo took charge and a move to his neighborhood club is expected to result resurgence in his career.

 

It’s understood Asante Kotoko are considering to offer some fringe players the chance for playing time with potential interested clubs and Amankona’s reunion with the former league champions is increasingly possible.
