Asante Kotoko commences their official proposals to the players who are on the wishlist of Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum to reinforce his squad towards the next season’s campaing. It’s therefore believed the management of Asante Kotoko has written officially to Bechem United to inquire and demand for the services of their stalwart defender, Samuel Osei Kuffour and goalkeeper Iddrisu Abdulai respectively.
After an impressive fare with the hunters, the duo have attracted the interest of Dr Ogum who’s envisioned to have a quality filler at the goalkeeping department after the exit of Kwame Baah – when his contract expired and to find antidote in Samuel Osei Kuffour to the loopholes at the Kotoko’s defense.
Negotiations between the clubs are expected to be positive after the two players have already expressed the desire to join the current league champions for the Africa experience. Both players are currently part of the Black Galaxies team limbering up for the CHAN qualifiers after their stupendous performance that prop the hunters to the MTN FA Cup final and placed third on the league table.
The porcupines warriors targets have had a splendor season. When Iddrisu Abdulai at 25-year, ended the season as goalkeeper with the most clean sheets and adjudged the best keeper of the year at the Ghana Football Awards outwitted Kotoko’s Danlad Ibrahim and foreign based Jojo Wollacot. Whereas 20 years old Samuel Osei Kuffour is rated among the top notch center backs in the league due to his deftness and calmness that saw Bechem United unbeaten home run.
Kotoko are making sure to complete all their signings and exits of players before the scheduled transfer deadline for Africa competitions from CAF in August.
