Prior to the Africa, Asante Kotoko have started making approaches to bolster their squad with the aim of having an impactful adventure in the intercontinental competition. Usually, quite number of players have been linked to join the porcupine warriors ahead of the Africa endeavor and here are the insights of players likely to join the Kotoko Africa train;

  •  Michael Ampadu, Right Back of Legon Cities. The highly rated defender has had a consistent standout account in the Ghana premier league for the past few seasons. Ampadu joined lavished Legon Cities side after his tremendous spell with Liberty Professionals, a dependable defender and very effective in his surging runs with speed and good command on the ball. He’s reportedly been monitoring by Coach Ogum at Black Galaxies camp and Legon Cities are ready for negotiations before his contract runs out in November.

Attoquaye has always been on Kotoko’s radar since his days with Berekum Chelsea before Legon Cities lured him in last two seasons. He’s a direct attacker with a lot of acceleration, very intelligent with the ball and also has the wits for goals. The player has expressed his desire to join the porcupines this time around and negotiations are in the advanced stage.
  •  Emmanuel Adu Siaw, Left Back of Samartex FC. The captain of the newly promoted premier league side is also under observation of the Asante Kotoko Coach, Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum at the Black Galaxies camp. Adu Siaw is rated as the best left back in the just ended division one league season and also among the few players from the division to be included in the final squad of Black Galaxies towards the CHAN qualifiers. A modernize defender with traits of effective runs on the laterals and have the ingenuity as a set pieces expert.
