The Ghana premier league champions are on the verge of securing the services of another Cameroonian import for their goalkeeping slot certainly by the close of this week before their preseason trip to Turkey. The former Cameroonian U20 goalie is reportedly in the country already and has agreed to sign three (3) years with Asante Kotoko before the preseason trip to Turkey.
Moise Pouaty, 26, had previously featured for Switchbachs FC in the American USL and won the best keeper in their conference league for the 2016/17 season following his phenomenal saves for the Colorado based club. He had two years stint with the American club after his good exploits formerly with Union Douala earned him a call up to the Cameroon youth team (Under 20) in 2015.
The hulking goalkeeper was rated among the standouts in the Cameroonian MTN Elite One league with respect to his impressive run with Fortuna du Mfuo where he attracted a whooping offer to join Colombe Sport – his last club before his imminent move to Asante Kotoko.
Kotoko Focus TV can reliably confirm that, Asante Kotoko are likely to announce his signing in the coming days and Moise Pouaty is expected to be part of the team’s contingent to Turkey for the preparations ahead of the upcoming season.
