Ampadu edging near to Asante Kotoko as Nettey finds the exit door.

Michael Ampadu looks an ostensible and possible replacement to bridge the gap at the right back following the departure of Christopher Nettey after his three years stint with the Porcupine Warriors.

Ampadu joined Legon Cities for two years from Liberty Professionals his contract is reportedly ended in December 2022, it’s emerged the hulking right back fancy a move to Asante Kotoko as more advanced side than continuing with the Royals. It would be a wish become reality for the player after the efforts of Asante Kotoko to sign him before the season stalled due to contractual issues.

Negotiations have already begun between Asante Kotoko and the one time Black Galaxies right back in making sure to finalize everything before the January transfer window to fill the void the right back and additionally augment the shaky backline.

The 25 year old former Black Meteors defender is expected to be a swift boost to the Asante Kotoko squad as Samuel Appiah is the only available right back following the exit of Christopher Nettey and Augustine Agyapong’s call up to the Black Galaxies.
